We all know how Samsung suffered a backlash in 2015 because of the fault with their Samsung note 7, which ended up in the company recalling the device last October. After investigations it was discovered that the explosion was caused by faulty batteries which Samsung happened to get from their chinese battery makers.

This incidence caused a loss in consumer trust and wiping out $5.3 billion of operating profit, and ended up allowing Apple’s iPhone to overtake it in sales.

At the end of a product presentation at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the company showed a short video clip announcing the date for its traditional “Unpacked Event”.

Samsung Electronics said on it would launch its next key device the Galaxy S8, on 29 March.

The smartphone is coming with a battery from Samsung’s new batter suppliers, LG, and you don’t expect the same incident that occured with Note 7.

The Galaxy S8 will feature a 5.8-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display, 4GB of RAM, IP68 dust and water resistance, 12MP dual-pixel camera, 8MP front camera, an iris scanner, 64GB of expandable memory, Samsung Pay, wireless charging, and bundled earphones tuned by AKG.

In addition to its amazing specs, both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the alleged S8+ are expected to come with Samsung Bixbya digital assistant which will launch alongside these flagships with support for up to eight languages.

One thing that makes this device exceptionally beautiful is that it will be the first phone to feature Qualcomms new chipset, Snapdragon 835 chipset. Earlier reports made it known to us that some smartphone brands that wanted to feature the new chipset on their flagships couldn’t because of Samsung.
