Finally, here comes the much-awaited beast by name Nokia 6. HMD Global has finally announced the first Nokia Android smartphone. the phone will only be available in the Chinese market and as of the time of this post could only be found on JD.com.

The Nokia 6 is a 5.5 – inch Full HD display smartphone with 2.5D Gorilla glass. Adorned with an aluminum unibody design. The new smartphone is powered by a snapdragon 430 SoC with X6 LTE modem. In terms of memory, you get 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This storage can be further expanded using a microSD card. The phone runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

Still on specifications, the Nokia 6 comes with a 16MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera of the phone comes with phase-detect AF. In terms of battery, you have a 3000mAh battery.

According to HMD, the Nokia 6 was released for the China market alone because they want to take their launches strategically. They reasoned that the Chinese market is a very important market in the tech world “where premium design and quality is highly valued by consumers.” Hope their speculations serves them right on this one.

HMD Global has announced earlier that there will be 5 Android-powered smartphones dropping this year. The first one just did, let us wait for the remaining four and hope that Nokia takes its Glory back with its new lines of Android powered Smartphones.
Price-wise, the Nokia 6 will be selling for CNY 1699 (77846.79 Naira). I know how people will be salivating for the new Nokia 6, but as it stands HMD Global mentioned in its release that there are no plans to release Nokia 6 in other markets. So, other countries will have to for the new Smartphone to creep into their Markets in any way possible.
